Dear Manifesta,

Hopefully you are doing fine.  It is your 8th birthday this year and I will visit you this week.

I really like it that you are a traveling festival that takes place in a different city in Europe every two years. And that you are a platform for young, not-quite established artists.  Because I really love festivals. And I really love art.

So I heard that this year  the format of “Alexandria Contemporary Arts Forum” (ACAF) represents the dialogue between Europe and Northern Africa. Well I am partially from North African and I do not know much about North African contemporary art. So I’m excited about that too.

And I think it was a good choice that you are in Murcia and Cartagena this year. I have never been there. Could you order me some sunshine please?

I’ll be looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday (I will be spending some time in Valencia first)!

Lots of love,
